 Roy Van Orman, in white shirt, shows his race car he built from a 1928 early model A Ford. After multiple attempts and further tune ups and adjustments, he attained an official 97.7 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats. He almost made 100 mph when the engine exploded fire and thunder, leaving a big hole in the side of the engine. Roy could not have been happier!!
